There is a growing need for individuals who have successfully completed accredited master’s in education degree programs in Alaska, despite the fact that public schools in the state have been making great strides over the past few years. Over the past few years, Alaska’s graduation rate has grown by ten percent and students are third in the nation for academic growth between grades four and eight. Much of this is due to a five-year plan developed in 2003 by state legislators that increased public school funding by 39 percent.
